It represents three strong values: human, environmental preservation, and attachment to the territory. The Park Label promotes products manufactured on the Park Territory, in handicraft or industrial farms using mostly local raw materials. The Ballons des Vosges Natural Regional Park Label stamps products, services or crafts that contribute to the sustainable development of its territory. Therefore, consumers are guaranteed products made locally with raw materials from the Park’s towns, and according to reliable and innovating craftsmanship respectful of the environment. It is awarded to companies who pledge, by convention, to respect the Label and the Ballons des Vosges Natural Regional Park Charter. In particular, the “Hospitality…” Label is awarded to service providers who endeavour to share their natural and cultural heritage knowledge of the Park. They favour personalized welcomes and promote local productions. Their commitment also shows in their effort to reduce their trade’s ecological impact on the environment, for example by limiting their energy consumption and by encouraging biodiversity.
