The national certification label ‘Valeurs Parc naturel régional’ rewards farmers, craftsmen, and manufacturers who undertake to uphold the values of the ‘Valeurs Parc naturel régional’ certification label. It represents three strong values: human, environmental preservation, and attachment to the territory.

Spring and mineral water bottling activities have developed on the Park Territory since the late eighteenth century. The Vosges Mountains are known to be the neighbouring meadows’ “water tower”. Several companies continue to exploit this resource while promoting their engagement for the territory. Park Label award criteria are as follows:

  • The water must come from the territory
  • The exploitation must be conducted while endeavouring to constantly reduce its ecological impact
  • The relationship between the activity and the territory must favour local employment, as well as the company’s communication and engagement in local community life.
