The Park Territory is largely covered in forests. Traditionally, craftsmen used to manufacture wooden objects, mainly for breeding and cheese-making purposes. Today, a few artisans design and manufacture decorative objects and children toys – such as animal puzzles, coat hangers, lamps. Maple wood, a local and beautiful wood, is among the favourites. Other species such as acacia, walnut, birch, and apple trees, are also used – as long as they are local. These original objects are decorated with great care, or personalized upon request. With the Park, artisans commit to respecting the environment, for example concerning waste disposal.
