The Ballons des Vosges Park is dedicated to promoting short tours as well as local produce and craftsmanship.

Saonoise Vosges ponds and Belfort foothills hail from this plateau carved during the Quaternary Era by glaciers. Many springs and a busy network of small streams allowed Man to establish many ponds – sometimes in the place of old swamps. Along with meadows, woods, moors and isolated farms, they form a fascinating scenery. Extensive fish farming and traditional fishing techniques safeguard the natural environment and its exceptional flora. Whereas fish farming turned professional around Belfort, the Vosges Saônoises area, called “Mille Etangs”, remained more traditional and developed leisure fishing in the ponds.
