Trains, buses, shuttles, cycle paths and Green Ways are available to leave your car behind… Eastern France’s "Green Lung", the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park is a vast territory of 2,700 km2 fringed by several main cities – all departure points for a really “green” getaway

Walking is the best way to discover the Ballons des Vosges Park.

Enjoy unique vantage points along the territory’s several long-distance (notably the GR5 Crest Path) and shorter hiking trails, numerous thematic and discovery itineraries. Hot-air balloon rides from summits, lush valleys or sun-bathed vineyard terraces in autumn, the territory spans across manifold terroirs, environments and landscapes, offering over 9,000 km of trails marked by the Club Vosgien – who also publish various maps of the Massif and six long-distance hiking paths to discover landscapes, forests, castles and picturesque villages…  many guides are available in the Park Houses and Tourist Offices. A Good Practice Guide is also available to raise environmental awareness.
