The Regional Natural Parks of the ‘Grand Est’

There are 58 regional natural parks in France (56 in metropolitan France and two in the overseas territories). Territorial projects are developed around these Parks where heritage preservation is at the service of local development.

The creation of the new Regions has reinforced the Regional Natural Parks’ structuring role towards regional areas. In the ‘Grand Est’, six regional natural parks are key players in the sustainable development of our territories.

The six Regional Natural Parks represent around 15 percent of the ‘Grand Est’ surface area and count 525,000 inhabitants.
